Nye County School District Food Service is announcing updated cafeteria prices and policy reminders effective August 3, 2026. District officials noted that these adjustments were made to align with current federal reimbursement guidelines and ensure overall program compliance.
The best news for NCSD students remains unchanged: students will continue to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch every school day. However, the new pricing structure will apply to all adult meals, second student meals, and individual a la carte purchases.
New Meal & A La Carte Pricing
For adults and anyone purchasing a second meal, the updated rates are:
Breakfast: $3.00
Lunch (Includes Salads): $5.25
For individual a la carte items, the prices are:
Lunch Entrée: $3.50
Breakfast Entrée: $2.00
Bottled Water: $1.50
Juice Box: $1.00
Milk: $0.75
Fruit or Veggie Side: $0.75
Important Cafeteria Rules to Know
Alongside the price updates, the food service department highlights several critical policy reminders for the upcoming school year:
No A La Carte Salads: Salads are included with full lunch purchases and will not be sold separately.
No Charging Allowed: Meal charging is strictly prohibited for both students and staff members.
Staff Account Requirement: Cafeteria managers are not permitted to hold cash for staff members who do not have an active Infinite Campus account.
